A broken torsion spring is one of the most common garage door repair jobs. The spring is what lifts the doors true weight. When working properly it allows the motor to "assist" the door with travel. When broken, the motor must lift the entire weight. Garage door openers are NOT designed for this purpose and it severly cuts the it's lifespan of the motor. 

The purpose of 7' long stem safety rollers is to provide extra stability and support for garage doors, reducing the likelihood of the door coming off track during operation. These rollers are designed with extended stems for additional reinforcement, ensuring smoother, quieter operation while enhancing the overall safety of the door system.

Long stem rollers are safer because their extended length provides increased stability, ensuring the garage door stays securely in its tracks, even under pressure. This extra length helps prevent the rollers from disengaging, reducing the risk of the door going off track or becoming misaligned, which can cause accidents or damage.

The purpose of garage door end-bearing plates is to support the torsion shaft at each end of the garage door, ensuring smooth and efficient operation. These plates help reduce friction and wear on the shaft, allowing for proper alignment and longer-lasting functionality of the torsion system.

These bearing plates wore out, causing them not to rotate the torsion shaft properly. This causes the door and spring to not work properly over time.
